2 - Angels
I became interested in the image of an angel following the passing of my maternal grandmother. It perhaps was a way to help process a great loss for me. During this process I researched the angel as image and its depth in the history of art. There were of course Christian references and this wonderful series of images from Pompeii that I discovered. From there as the pain of loss diminished I became more playful in my inclusion of the angel and often used it as a symbol for the lineage path of people, musicians and others passing discoveries and ideas through time.
